Creatine Today ("the App") is developed by Creatine Today. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, where it goes, and the choices you have.
The following is stored on your device. It is not sent to us or to any third party, with two exceptions: the AI Coach context described below (only when you use the Coach), and your onboarding choices plus coarse usage summaries recorded as analytics events, with bodyweight only as an approximate range (see "Analytics and Crash Reports"). None of it is ever shared with advertisers.
When you first open the App, it signs in anonymously with Firebase Authentication (Google LLC) and receives a random user identifier. This identifier is not linked to your name or email. We use it to connect your subscription (RevenueCat), your anonymous analytics events (Firebase Analytics) and, if you use it, your AI Coach requests — so that, for example, we can tell which onboarding steps lead to a subscription without knowing who you are.
If you open the AI Coach chat, we transmit the following to our Firebase Cloud Function, which then forwards your question and a summary of your context to Anthropic PBC (the provider of the underlying large language model, Claude).
What is sent per message:
What is NOT sent: your real name (unless you entered one during onboarding), email, device contacts, location, health records, or any data we do not explicitly list above.
How Anthropic handles the data: per Anthropic's commercial terms, inputs and outputs to the Claude API are not used to train their models. Anthropic may retain inputs and outputs for up to 30 days for trust and safety and abuse monitoring, after which they are deleted. Rate limiting: we store a per-user daily message count in Google Cloud Firestore, keyed by your anonymous Firebase user ID. These documents are automatically deleted after approximately 2 days. No conversation content is stored in Firestore.
Data location: the Cloud Function runs in the United States (Google Cloud us-central1). Anthropic processes requests on infrastructure located primarily in the United States. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, your use of AI Coach involves an international transfer of data, which we carry out under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and Google's and Anthropic's Data Processing Addenda.
Opting out: the AI Coach is entirely optional. If you do not open it, none of the AI Coach data above leaves your device. Core tracking features work without it.
If you scan a supplement label, the one or two photos you take are sent to our Firebase Cloud Function, which forwards them to Anthropic PBC (Claude) only to read the label. We do not keep the photos: they are not saved to your photo library, our database or our logs (your phone's system clears the app's temporary copy). What comes back (product name, brand, amounts per serving, servings, net weight, other ingredients and printed seals) is saved on your device with the supplement.
Anthropic handles the photos under the same terms as AI Coach messages: they are not used to train models and may be retained for up to 30 days for trust and safety monitoring, then deleted.
To enforce a limit of 10 scans per day, we store a per-user daily count in Google Cloud Firestore, keyed by your anonymous Firebase user ID. These documents are deleted after about 2 days. The function runs in the United States (us-central1); the international-transfer terms in the AI Coach section apply.
The App uses Firebase Analytics (Google LLC) to understand how the App is used and improve it. It collects:
These events are tied to your anonymous app identifier, not to your name or email. We may export them to Google BigQuery for analysis. The App also uses Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports (device model, OS version, app version and the technical details of the crash) so we can fix bugs. See Google's Privacy Policy.
We run ads to grow the App and need to know which ads bring people who actually keep using it. We never share your health logs, supplement data, onboarding answers or AI Coach conversations with advertisers.
Apple Search Ads (iPhone, all countries): the App collects Apple's AdServices attribution token, which tells our subscription provider RevenueCat whether you installed the App after tapping an Apple Search Ads ad and, if so, which campaign and keyword. This does not use your advertising identifier and does not require tracking permission.
Meta and TikTok: the App includes the Meta (Facebook) SDK and the TikTok Business SDK. In the United States, Canada and Australia they run as described below. In every other country they are started only on iPhone, and only after you tap Allow when Apple asks; if you don't, neither SDK is started. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, tapping Allow is your consent to this measurement, which you can withdraw at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

How to opt out: on iPhone, choose "Ask App Not to Track" or turn tracking off later in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android, delete your advertising ID in Settings → Privacy → Ads. You can also email us at support@creatinetoday.com.
The App can send local notifications to remind you to take your supplements. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device and do not involve any external server. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
The App offers an optional subscription processed through Apple's App Store or Google Play. We do not have access to your payment details. Purchases are handled by Apple (Privacy Policy) or Google (Privacy Policy). RevenueCat manages subscription status using the store's purchase receipt, your anonymous app identifier, basic device and app information, and the advertising attribution data described above.
The App uses the following third-party services. Items marked (AI Coach only) are only engaged when you actively use the AI Coach chat; items marked (advertising measurement) are active as described in "Advertising Measurement".
Because we do not collect directly identifying information (no email, no account), we cannot look up a specific individual's records by name. You can exercise the following rights directly:
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): we do not sell personal information for money. However, in the United States, making your advertising identifier and app events available to Meta and TikTok to measure and optimize ads may be considered "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You have the right to opt out of this sharing: on iPhone choose "Ask App Not to Track" (or turn off tracking in Settings), on Android delete your advertising ID, or email us at support@creatinetoday.com. Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and of other US states with privacy laws, have additional statutory rights; contact us at the same address to exercise them. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
The App is not directed at children. You must be at least 13 years old to use the App, and at least 16 years old (or the minimum digital consent age in your country) to use the AI Coach feature. We do not knowingly collect information from children below these ages.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
