Privacy Policy

Creatine Today ("the App") is developed by Aniol Comas. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the App.

Information We Collect

The App is designed to work primarily on your device. We do not ask for your name, email, or any account credentials. The only time information leaves your device is when you actively use the optional AI Coach feature (Pro only) — see the "AI Coach" section below for details.

Here is what we store locally on your device and never transmit:

• Supplement data (names, doses, reminder times) — stored locally on your device only.
• Tracking logs (taken/skipped status per day) — stored locally on your device only.
• Profile answers from onboarding (name you chose, goals, training frequency, bodyweight, creatine preference, hydration self-report) — stored locally on your device only.
• Preferences (language, theme, onboarding state) — stored locally on your device only.

AI Coach (Optional, Pro-Only)

If you open the AI Coach chat, we transmit the following to our Firebase Cloud Function, which then forwards your question and a summary of your context to Anthropic PBC (the provider of the underlying large language model, Claude). This is the only feature that sends data off your device.

What is sent per message:

• The text of your current conversation (your messages and the Coach's previous replies from this session).
• A structured context snapshot: your onboarding profile (name, goal, experience, training frequency, workout type, hydration self-report, bodyweight, preferred creatine type, loading preference, attribution source), your current supplement stack (names, doses, reminder times), and your progress (streak, saturation %, consistency %, current phase, current daily dose).
• An anonymous Firebase user identifier used to authenticate the request and enforce the daily message limit.

What is NOT sent: your real name (unless you entered one during onboarding), email, device contacts, location, health records, or any data we do not explicitly list above.

How Anthropic handles the data: per Anthropic's commercial terms, inputs and outputs to the Claude API are not used to train their models. Anthropic may retain inputs and outputs for up to 30 days for trust and safety and abuse monitoring, after which they are deleted. Rate limiting: we store a per-user daily message count in Google Cloud Firestore, keyed by your anonymous Firebase user ID. These documents are automatically deleted after approximately 2 days. No conversation content is stored in Firestore.

Data location: the Cloud Function runs in the United States (Google Cloud us-central1). Anthropic processes requests on infrastructure located primarily in the United States. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, your use of AI Coach involves an international transfer of data, which we carry out under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and Google's and Anthropic's Data Processing Addenda.

Opting out: the AI Coach is entirely optional. If you do not open it, none of the above data leaves your device. Core tracking features work without AI Coach.

Analytics

The App uses Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data such as screen views and feature engagement. This helps us understand how the App is used and improve it. Firebase Analytics may collect:

• Device type and operating system version
• App version
• Anonymous interaction events (e.g., "opened calendar", "added supplement")
• For AI Coach specifically: an automatically-classified topic label (e.g., "saturation", "timing"), response latency, and response length — never the message text itself.

This data is aggregated and anonymous — it cannot be used to identify you personally. You can learn more about how Google handles analytics data in their Privacy Policy.

Analytics

The App uses Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data such as screen views and feature engagement. This helps us understand how the App is used and improve it. Firebase Analytics may collect:

• Device type and operating system version
• App version
• Anonymous interaction events (e.g., "opened calendar", "added supplement")

This data is aggregated and anonymous — it cannot be used to identify you personally. You can learn more about how Google handles analytics data in their Privacy Policy.

Notifications

The App can send local notifications to remind you to take your supplements. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device and do not involve any external server. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

In-App Purchases

The App offers an optional subscription processed through Apple's App Store. We do not have access to your payment information. All purchases are handled by Apple according to their Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Services (Subprocessors)

The App uses the following third-party services. Items marked (AI Coach only) are only engaged when you actively use the AI Coach chat.

• Firebase Analytics (Google LLC) — anonymous usage analytics.
• RevenueCat — subscription management; processes only Apple purchase receipt data, no personal information.
• Anthropic PBC (AI Coach only) — processes conversation content and user context to generate AI Coach replies using the Claude Haiku model.
• Firebase Authentication (Google LLC) (AI Coach only) — issues an anonymous user identifier used to authenticate AI Coach requests.
• Firebase Cloud Functions (Google LLC) (AI Coach only) — hosts the secure proxy that relays AI Coach requests to Anthropic.
• Cloud Firestore (Google LLC) (AI Coach only) — stores short-lived daily message counters for rate limiting.
• Firebase App Check (Google LLC) (AI Coach only) — verifies requests originate from a genuine copy of the App to prevent abuse.

Data Retention

• On-device data (supplements, logs, profile, preferences): retained until you delete the App. Uninstalling the App permanently removes all local data.
• AI Coach conversation content: the App does not store your messages on our servers. Anthropic may retain inputs and outputs for up to 30 days for trust and safety and abuse monitoring.
• AI Coach rate-limit counters (Firestore): automatically deleted approximately 2 days after creation.
• Anonymous analytics events: retained by Firebase according to Google's retention policy (default 2 months to 14 months depending on event type).

Your Rights

Because we do not collect directly identifying information (no email, no account), we cannot look up a specific individual's records on request. You can exercise the following rights directly in the App:

• Access and portability: all your tracking data lives on your device and can be inspected from within the App.
• Deletion: delete the App to permanently remove all local data. To request deletion of rate-limit counters or analytics identifiers tied to your anonymous Firebase ID, contact us at support@creatinetoday.com (you will need to provide a recent diagnostic identifier so we can locate the record).
• Objection / restriction: you can stop all off-device processing by not using the AI Coach feature.

Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and California (CCPA/CPRA) have additional statutory rights. Contact us at the email above to exercise them. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children. You must be at least 13 years old to use the App, and at least 16 years old (or the minimum digital consent age in your country) to use the AI Coach feature. We do not knowingly collect information from children below these ages.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
