Best supplement reminder apps (2026): an honest comparison

If you only need a daily nudge on an iPhone, Apple Health already does it for free. If you want streaks, widgets and a reminder built around creatine plus a few other supplements, look at Creatine Today (our app), Supplement Streak or Supps. If you take a long list of pills and want refill reminders on Android too, MyTherapy and Medisafe are the established options. Below is what each one actually offers, taken from their store listings in October 2026.

Best free option on iPhone: Apple Health

Apple Health has a Medications section that Apple says works for "medications, vitamins, and supplements" (Apple 2026). You add creatine or a vitamin as an item, pick a schedule, and your iPhone reminds you. If you have not logged it 30 minutes after the scheduled time, it sends a follow-up reminder. You can also turn on Critical Alerts, which sound even when the phone is muted (Apple 2026).

It is free, needs no extra app and syncs with Apple Watch (Apple iPhone User Guide). What it does not give you is a streak, a reminder to buy a new tub, or anything specific to creatine. If your only goal is "remind me every day", start here.

Best for creatine plus a few supplements: Creatine Today

Creatine Today is our app, so judge this section with that in mind. It started as a creatine reminder and also tracks other supplements. The free version covers one supplement with daily reminders, a one-tap log for today and the month calendar. Pro adds unlimited supplements, your streak history, filling in days you forgot to log, iPhone Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets with an "I took it" button, a tub label scan, reorder reminders when a tub runs low, and an AI Coach for creatine questions. Pro is a monthly or annual subscription; the store shows the current price for your country.

It is on iPhone and Android and available in English, Spanish, German, French, Italian and Dutch (Creatine Today). It does not calculate or suggest an amount: you enter what you take. Where it does not win: if you take ten supplements and want everything free, MyTherapy covers more for nothing, and Apple Health is enough for a single reminder on iPhone.

Best for streaks: Supplement Streak and Supps

Supplement Streak is a simple streak counter for supplements. The free version tracks up to 3 supplements and shows the last 30 days, with ads. Pro ($4.99 a month or $29.99 a year in the US) removes the limits and the ads. It has Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, stock tracking with refill reminders, and Taken, Skip and Snooze buttons on the notification (Supplement Streak).

Supps turns your routine into a game: a 3D garden grows as you keep your streak, and streak shields cover a missed day. The free version tracks 2 supplements. Pro costs $3.99 a month or $29.99 a year in the US. It can scan a barcode or label and write your intake to Apple Health (Supps).

Both are new, iPhone-only and English-only, and had very few ratings in October 2026.

Best for long lists and refills: MyTherapy and Medisafe

MyTherapy and Medisafe are pill reminder apps with years of history. MyTherapy had 4.8 stars from about 8,600 ratings on the US App Store, and Medisafe 4.7 from over 100,000 (MyTherapy; Medisafe). Both handle many items, refill reminders and Android, and both are in Spanish.

The trade-off is that they are designed for prescriptions, not supplements. MyTherapy shows ads unless you pay to remove them (MyTherapy). Medisafe's Android version contains ads, and more features come with Premium (Medisafe). If you take creatine, magnesium and a multivitamin, they can feel like more app than you need.

In Spanish or on Android

If you want the app in Spanish, your options are Apple Health (on an iPhone set to Spanish), Creatine Today, MyTherapy, Medisafe and Supli. Supps and Supplement Streak are English-only.

On Android, the options are Creatine Today, MyTherapy, Medisafe and Supli. Supli is a free app from Spain with a creatine reminder that counts down the days left in your tub. In October 2026 it was Android-only, with an iPhone version announced (Supli).

How to choose

Whatever you choose, link the reminder to something you already do every day, such as breakfast. In our own app data, the time people log creatine moves by about 4 hours from one day to the next, so a fixed alarm is not the only way to stay consistent (Creatine Habit Report). Missing one day is not a problem: see what happens if you miss a day of creatine.

How we compared these apps

We read each app's App Store and Google Play listing, its in-app purchase list and its website on 30 October 2026. We did not test every competitor hands-on. We make Creatine Today, so we may be biased toward it; tell us if anything here is out of date.
